Steven's first 5k

An elementary school was putting on a 5k and so the Reese clan signed up and ran it! Luckily we have a running stroller so Steven was able to come along with us :) He loves going outside and is so good when I taking him running with me.

Ryan and Marlie

JT and Stu (Justin had surgery on his knee so he's going around on crutches or the wheelchair for the next few weeks)

Dad and Mom Reese

The back of our shirts. Steve had them made for all of us. Fun huh?

The Kevin Reese family also ran with their kids...Parker

And Angela pushed Ryan and Emily

Kate stayed back with Marlie, Justin, and Tyler

Getting ready...

The guys afterwards (Stu left before I was able to get the picture)-Kevin, Rob, Ryan, Steve, Mike

The girls who ran-Lola, Me, Angela, Tamar, and Tamar's Mom who was in town for the weekend...it was fun to have her run with us!

 Capri fell asleep sweet girl.

Rob, Lola and Ry all placed first in their age groups! Good job Reeses!!

Steven in Texas

Steven has started crawling!! Its so cute and fun to see him explore the world now :) The first step he took in this process was moving backwards. I left the room for a minute and came back to find this. And yes, my child is playing with a diaper from the garbage. Gross!  :)

Steven LOVES his cousins! Ryan is only 5 months older than him and gets so excited when he sees Steven and likes to give him hugs, its kind of cute :) I think Steven caught on and does the same thing when he sees Tyler who is only two months old...he gets super excited and pats him on the head and tries to hug and kiss him. I think he likes seeing someone smaller than him. I don't have pictures of Steven and Tyler, but here are some of Ryan and Steven hugging.

Too much love? :) Capri and Steven have loved learning new things together. Being only a month apart its kind of fun to see Capri do things and then watch as Steven learns after or from her. They both started crawling not too far apart and when we watched Capri, they were crawling all over each other :) I have a video that I need to put up...coming soon no worries!!

My little boy is growing up so much! He now loves his green beans! Not as much as fruit of course, but still well enough. He makes a huge mess when eating them though...this is his first time eating them on his own. Enjoy the pics!

Heidi, I think that this one looks a lot like Mikie, what do you think? :)

 Can you say messy?  :)

Mike's little brother left this week on his mission, sniffle sniffle. It was fun being able to spend some time with him before he left. Mike and his brothers went golfing, and this is what Mike and Ryan wore...hahaha, such dorks :) Notice how the stripes line up exactly? Kinda funny. So anyways, there's a quick update...more to come!

Cellulitis :(

Poor Steven!! I promise we don't beat our child! Here's the story. I was doing hospital orientation which was every day for eight hours the first week...when I got home Friday I noticed Steven's eye was a little bit red. When I asked Mike about it he said it had kinda been red all day, so I decided to just watch it. It got to where it was a little swollen, so I called my sisters to see if it could be allergies or what. I didn't think it was pink eye because the actual eye itself wasn't red, just the skin around it. Anyhow, we decided to just let it be and see how it looked in the morning and take him in to a quick care instead of an ER. Well...around 10:30 Steven woke up crying, which is so not like him! He sleeps so well usually! When I got him out of the crib this is what I saw...

It had swollen so much! So of course I freaked out a little bit and I was ready to take him in right then, but after getting some benadryl in him and talking with more sisters, we decided that it was okay if we did wait till morning. So that's what we did!

The next morning I got him out of bed and he couldn't even open it :( above is a picture of him right before we took him to the doc, so after a little bit of being up he was able to open it some thank goodness. What the doctor said is that he must have gotten a bug bite or a little scratch or something that caused an infection in his skin called cellulitis. She gave him a shot (really two shots, one in each leg because the dose was too big to go in one leg) and said to bring him back in 24 hours. She wanted us to keep a close eye on him and make sure the swelling didn't get worse and if it did then we'd need to take him to the ER for IV antibiotics. We kept an eye on it and kept up with the benadryl. I was back to work the next day for a 12 hour day shift, so Mike had to take him in the next day.

Can I tell you how grateful I am for modern medicine?! Look at that eye 24 hours later! Can you believe it? She sent us home with azithromycin to give him orally twice a day which he takes like a champ! My sweet baby boy is back to normal looking and I'm so glad that everything is okay and he was such a trooper through it all. Even when he woke up in the middle of the night with his eye so swollen he was fussy, but we could still get him to smile and laugh. Love my boy!

I actually look like I have a little bit of coloring when I'm next to Steven! Poor kid got my coloring :/

The next big news is that Steven has teeth! I didn't even know he was teething silly boy, until my sister noticed his bulging gums and a little tooth under the surface! Two days later, his first tooth arrived and I could tell a second was on the way. That one didn't break for another week though. Don't know if you can really tell in the top one, but the bottom one shows them both pretty well. Its super cute because you can kinda see them some times when he smiles and talks now :) The only bad part about them is he can no longer give me kisses on my chin...it hurts because he bites with them now! Sorry for the post overload, but I think that somewhat updates us now so hope you all enjoy!

Little pit stop in good ol' Arizona then onto TEXAS!

On our way down to Texas we stopped by Mike's brother Jason and Jenn's so they could meet Steven and we could see them and the kids. I don't know why I didn't get any more pictures :( It was a lot of fun seeing them as always! While there we went to the park. Steven has been in the swing before but we've always forgotten the camera so these are the first pictures we have of him swinging. He loves it! He loves being outside period, but as you can see from his happy face he also loves swinging :)

And yes! We arrived in Texas! It was a long and it seemed at some points never ending drive, but we are here safe and sound. Steven did really well...he's such a good boy! The most annoying part of the drive were the hills where the truck would sometimes get down to 35 mph. ANNOYING!! But its over, we're here, that's that. I've started work and I think I'm really going to like it! It reminds me a lot of the first hospital that I worked for so I'm excited for that big hospital feel again. There are going to be things I miss about the small hospital, but mainly its the people I'm going to miss the most. Mike's classes are going well, and Steven is loving spending time with cousins and family.

Mike is enjoying spending time with his family too...here he is with his big bro Kevin and his little boy Parker. Parker is obsessed with basketball and so he was pretending to play a basketball game with the big kids. It was cute hearing him get excited when he thought he'd made a basket :)

While here we've been able to go swimming...here's little Capri and Steven together. They're only 4 weeks and 1 day apart in age! Its been fun to see them play together :)

Steven playing with lego block things...he loves them :)

While still in Rexburg I made some little ties for Steven...here he is modeling one, and below that are the ones that I made. It was super fun and pretty easy really!

Also...have to give a shout out for this weekend and the Avengers! Anyone who knows my husband knows that he loves these guys! So when they came out with them all on Dr. Pepper cans of course he had to have a set. Ridiculous as I thought it was, he's acutally been able to sell off the remaining sets on ebay, paying for his original set and making money as well! Good job honey :)

And last but not least, I love my boy...this is a video from Rexburg that I just found and love! He loves looking at himself in the mirror, and here's proof! :)

Easter in Jerome...

This year we were able to celebrate Easter in Idaho where we had an egg hunt and Steven found some eggs...

and a basket full of fun toys/books/candy! Thanks Grandma! (no really thanks...it was a lot of fun!)

I had to include this picture because Mike always complains that Steven will fall asleep on  me but never on him...never again can he say that! Here's the proof :)

This was actual Sunday Easter when Steven found his basket from us. He got the outfit he's wearing in these pictures, it was a gift we got from someone that we regifted :), some more eggs and candy for Mommy and Daddy, and a little chew toy.

I wasn't able to get many more pictures than this :( but here's Steven with his cousin Megan. It sure was fun seeing family and spending time with them before heading down to Texas! Thanks Binghams! :)
