Steven's Blessing...and he's two months!!

Steven is officially two months old as of the 9th! My little boy is getting so big and old! We had his doctor appointment and he is now 15.5 lbs which is in the 99% and he is 25 inches long which is in the 98%...at least he's proportional right? :) The doctor says I'm not feeding him too much and that he is a healthy little big guy which I'm very happy for. The only down side to the appointment were the shots :( He cried so hard which is pretty uncommon for him...it broke my heart! After that every time I changed his diaper and pulled his pants back up he'd cry :( They totally wiped him out and he slept so much and then cried a lot when he was awake, and the night was pretty rough as well. But he is doing A LOT better today thank goodness. He gave me a pretty good cooing and smiling session this morning and then again with Mike this afternoon so I think he's forgiven us :) Just for records I'm going to record his stats from the previous appts because I haven't recorded them yet.

6 days old: Weight-9.4 lbs (85%), height- 22.5 in. (99%)
12 days old: Weight-9.6 lbs (80%), height-23 in. (99%)
6 weeks old: weight- 13.8 lbs (99%)
8 weeks old(AKA 2 months): Weight- 15.3 lbs (99%), height-25 in. (98%)

This past weekend we were able to bless Steven and get him on the church record. It was an amazing experience and one that I enjoyed very much for many reasons. I mean family, babies, the spirit, what more can you ask for? Steven was such a trooper through the whole weekend as he had many people love him. He preformed so well too and showed off his new skills of smiling and talking. Everyone loved it and just ate it up of course :) Enjoy the pictures from the weekend!

I have to thank my parents for Steven's blessing blanket...it came special from Israel which my parents just got back from the Thursday before his blessing. It was such a neat experience for them and I loved hearing their stories...Mike and I decided we need to go sometime :)

I love that he's talking more too now! Love it so much!

Our lives will never be the same again but we couldn't be happier!

We were lucky enough to have our good friends come down for the blessing! Its been so fun being near these guys and it made the day that much more special to have them there. We loved seeing family and having time for them to get to be around Steven more...it was so fun to see them interact with Steven! I loved seeing them love him :) I never get tired of hearing other people tell me how good and sweet and cute and perfect Steven is, because I totally agree! :) Not a proud Mamma at all here...hope you enjoyed the pics!

Halloween!

We went to our ward Halloween party last night and it was so much fun! We had a chili cook off-I made white chili that didn't turn out as good as I remember it being but oh well. Mike had a great idea to have Steven be the red angry bird from the game Angry Birds, so we got one of the stuff animals and I made it into a hat for him. We matched him by being the green pigs that he blows up in the game. No one knew what we were unless we had Steven with us, and even then a lot of people didn't know but oh well! It was fun for me to make the costumes and I feel like they turned out great no matter what. Enjoy the pictures!

The Tophams went as Mr. and Mrs. Potato head and Chloe went as a chicken. She had a really cute hat that she wore as well, but she didn't have it on at this time.

The ultimate winner of the costume contest was Koen. Lindsay did an awesome job making his outfit and it was well earned...such a stud! Happy Halloween every one!

Steven's 6 Weeks!!

Steven is just over 6 weeks old!! I still can't believe how fast the time has gone by...my little man is growing so much! I took him in about a week ago to the doc to find out that has reflux, but we've started him on medicine that I think is helping thank goodness. Anyways...they weighed him and he was 13 lbs 13 oz...CRAZY!! However, Mike took him over to our neighbor's house last night and weighed him again and guess how much he weighs now? Almost 15 lbs! I can't believe it! He is pretty chunky, but I think he's way long also. He's already easily in 3-6 month clothing, barely fitting in some 0-3 month clothes and in some brands he's already wearing 6-9 month clothes! Stop growing!! He's very alert now, getting his hair back, has eyelashes and eyebrows finally, and still sleeping great at night and so has a very thankful mommy :) He's a pretty good mix of Mike and I, but I think he looks more like me. However, be the judge yourself. Below is a pic of Steven at 6 weeks followed by my 6 week photo. Just a hint...I'm the one in the dress :)

Visiting home and videos of Steven!

Man my little guy is growing so fast!! I need him to stop, but at the same time I'm loving it and all the changes. He's becoming more and more alert and is following us with his eyes. Just today I gave him to Mike to hold and then I started walking out of the room to get his burp cloth...Steven was hungry and he turned his eyes and whole body towards me and watched me walk away. So cute :) Anyways, here's some pictures and videos of him following us and smiling-another of my favorite things he's doing. There's also pictures of him meeting most of the rest of my family in Jerome. It was a really fun trip and I loved it!

Haha...okay so Steven has started balding on top and looks like an old man now. I was giving Mike a haircut and we decided to just cut the top at first and take a picture with their similar hair. Ha! I got a good laugh :)

Koen is 11 months old, Steven is 1 month old...Steven now weighs 12.8 pounds, Koen weighs 16 pounds. Just had to take a comparison picture :)
