Honeymoon

After being married for a week, Michael and I were able to head to Florida! It was so much fun. We were able to stay there for 7 days before we flew out to Ohio for our open house. Here are some pictures...

This is Michael and I in front of the beach for our first little stroll.

There were these really cool turtle nests in the sand and they were EVERYWHERE! One night when we were out walking on the beach, we saw a smooth trail leading from the water to a big lump in the sand. Some people who where there told us a turtle had just come out and laid eggs. We barely missed it! :( But it was still cool, and the people then went on to show tell us what to look for when nests are getting ready to hatch. We found one of them and watched for a while but nothing happened.

For one of our activities we rented...metal detectors! Yeah! :) Haha, it was so funny, the guy who was managing the shop we got them from said, "Well, we usually set up a treasure hunt for the kids but you know, sure, yea...okay." It was kinda funny, but really fun! Above is me with the "scooper" we used to dig up our treasures :)

Michael with the metal detector, isn't he cute?

Our treasures! A spring, bottle cap, truck, washers, and 16 cents! We sure hit the jackpot!

The little trolley we rode to get downtown. It was sweet but there was only one day it was running while we were there. Still a fun experience.

The one sunset we got up for. All of the other times I either rolled over and went back to bed, or we got up too early and ended up falling asleep waiting for it to rise.

The hotel we stayed in

The pool (which was right next to the ocean)

The view from our room down on the courtyard of our hotel...way nice!

The straight out view from our balcony and our last morning there :(

The front of the hotel. Everything looked expensive and really nice. It was a fun place to stay!

Sorry this one is fuzzy, but its me on a jet-ski, driving it by myself! First time I've every done that and it was way fun, especially with the humongous ocean waves!

Michael's pride and joy, our mini car we rented. We originally went to get the little scooter (on either side of the cars) but when Mike saw this well... :) It was fun and we had a ton of people staring at us and trying to slap our hands as we drove by. Yes, this baby could go out on the road...reached up to 50, but after 35-40 the car (offical name was scoopmini) would start shaking because it only had one wheel in back.

It next to its inspiration, a mini-cooper. Mike wanted to park next to it when we stopped by the mall.

Mike handsomely modeling the car :)

At the gas station. It only took about a gallon to fill this baby up.

Some of our yummy meals

This was already going to be an awesome meal, but because Mike found a piece of glass in his soda (scary I know!) we got the meal for free! Sweet!

Being dipped when going parasailing.

And that concludes the pictures from this grand vacation! It was wonderful, thanks Michael for an amazing experience I'll never forget! Love you :)
